Kitty of Colrane A song popular in Ireland in about 1800. Rescued, rehabilitated, arranged, and performed by Kenn Amdahl. It survived into the 20th century, obscure but beloved. Bing Crosby sang a version in a movie and made a half-hearted attempt to accompany it with a squeezebox because there was no record of the chords. Kenn arranged chords and a guitar part. A boat was named after the song and seeing its sails at sunset inspired the 1935 song “Red Sails in the Sunset” that was a hit for The Platters.
